Infinite Realities Comicopia 2026: A Celebration of French Comics & Culture

November 5–8, 2026

École du Samedi is proud to support Infinite Realities Comicopia 2026, an exciting international celebration of comics, illustration, and storytelling featuring a special French cultural program born from the vision and unwavering dedication of École du Samedi founder Marc Mallet and brought to life with the support of the French Consulate’s STAFE initiative.

As Atlanta’s French Saturday school, we believe that language comes alive through authentic cultural experiences. Events like Comicopia allow our students, families, and the wider Atlanta community to engage directly with contemporary French artists, discover the rich tradition of bande dessinée (French comics), and experience French language and culture beyond the classroom.

This collaboration reflects our mission to promote the French language while building meaningful cultural connections throughout Atlanta.

Meet Acclaimed French Comic Artists

This year’s French programming welcomes three renowned creators from France:

• Guillaume Trouillard (Aquaviva)
• Franck Biancarelli (Green Witch Village)
• Val Reiyel (Victor de Notre Dame)

Throughout the week, these artists will meet students, educators, comic enthusiasts, and families through presentations, discussions, workshops, and book signings.

Thursday, November 5

Wine & Cheese Reception – Alliance Française d’Atlanta
5:00 PM – 8:00 PM

An evening reception featuring the visiting artists, with opportunities to meet the creators while enjoying French hospitality and conversation.

Special Artist Visit at 

École du Samedi
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Our students and families will enjoy a unique morning celebrating French comics through artist presentations, cultural exchange, discussions, and book signings. We are honored to welcome these internationally recognized creators to our school and provide our community with this unforgettable opportunity.

Infinite Realities Comicopia 2026

Tucker Recreation Center
11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

The convention features artist panels, exhibits, family activities, creator signings, workshops, and an extensive French programming area showcasing the world of bande dessinée.

Admission is required for the main convention hall. Access to the French programming and exhibit is free.

Why This Matters

At École du Samedi, we teach much more than vocabulary and grammar. We introduce students to the living cultures of the French-speaking world through literature, music, film, history, cuisine, art… and now, the celebrated tradition of French bande dessinée, often called the Ninth Art.

By partnering with cultural initiatives like Comicopia, we help our students see that French is a language of creativity, innovation, and global connection. We are proud to support projects that enrich Atlanta’s cultural landscape while creating authentic opportunities for our families to experience French language and culture together.
