Back to School 2021

Back to School at Ecole du Samedi

Our Covid protocol has been revised during the summer. Please read carefully all the new Back to school information outlined below.

Please continue to check this page for updates during the year.

Face-to-face instruction and remote learning plans
for the fall semester of 2021-2022

Bébé & Moi and Bout'chous classes

We will only offer in person learning on campus for these two classes due to the young age of the students.

Maternelles and Kindergarten classes

We strongly encourage in-person learning for all children in these classes as it proved most effective for that age group.

Any remote learning request will need to be addressed to the director ([email protected]frenchschoolatlanta.org) via email by August 28 if you are already registered, or at the time of registration if you register after August 28.  The director will determine in collaboration with the teacher if a virtual learning accommodation can be made.

Note that at this time we are planning to welcome Maternelle & Kindergarten students for an in-person learning experience.

All other classes (adult classes included)

Although we encourage in-person learning for students in all other classes, we will offer a hybrid format when needed, based on students' needs and requests as well as the public health situation.

Any remote learning request will need to be addressed to the director ([email protected]frenchschoolatlanta.org) via email by August 28 if you are already registered, or at the time of registration if you register after August 28.  The director will determine in collaboration with the teacher if a virtual learning accommodation can be made.

Policies and Protocol

All parents and adults’ students will receive an updated
Community Pledge in August by DocuSign.
Students will not be allowed to attend school until this pledge has been signed. All members of our community will be required to abide by the pledge throughout the year. It will replace the weekly health questionnaire and reminders will be posted at the reception area.
Teachers will continue to conduct temperature check on Saturdays.

Ecole du Samedi Covid 19 protocol updates

Communication with parents

We would only contact you directly to quarantine your child, if your child had been in close proximity (within 6’ for more than 15 minutes) of someone who had developed symptoms while on campus.

Parents communication with school

During Substantial and Moderate mitigation when a positive result, or assumed positive result is obtained, all persons who have been within close contact with the individual 48 hours prior to the day symptoms appeared, will be notified and will be required to self-quarantine for 14-days.

In order to achieve to implement this measure we ask parents to notify us right away in the event their child is in this situation.

Parents must sign the Community Pledge document to be allowed on campus.
